Ducks in a Row
It seems ducks just like to line up... all in a row. So it is my favorite cliche for the month!
After weeks of waiting for cooler weather for shipping, we decided to chance it and have Brenda Lakin go ahead and send Mr 89 to us. He is the father of our beloved Junior, who was undefeated in competition. Unfortunately we lost Junior on April 15th of this year.
Brenda says that Mr 89, or as we call him "Senior," got his name because he scored an 89 in his first show! That is a super good score for a Serama.
Brenda was selling out of Seramas and included a lovely little hen as a companion for Senior. We should call her "Rita," right?
I turned out our four juvenile purple guinea keets this morning For the first time. They typically just walk out but each of these literally "flew the coop" and went up into the nearby trees. I'm not sure if they will figure out how to re-group or not.
